On April 21, Comrade Pham Gia Tuc, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee had a meeting with leaders of Toray Group (Japan) on the implementation of the TOP TEXTILES CO., LTD. project in Rang Dong Textile Industrial Park (Nghia Hung). Toray is a Japanese industrial corporation established in 1926 specializing in manufacturing and trading a variety of products and services from carbon fibers used in aviation, fabrics, clothing, technology, electronics, water treatment systems/equipment, consumer goods, plastics, and synthetic chemicals to industrial materials. In 2019, Toray Group signed a memorandum of cooperation with Nam Dinh province and invested in the project of TOP TEXTILES CO., LTD in Rang Dong Textile Industrial Park (Nghia Hung) with an area of 31.2ha; total investment of 203 million USD; The total expected capacity of the whole project reaches 120 million meters of fabric/year. Phase I of the project is expected to complete construction and put into operation in 2023. At the meeting, the Group's leaders sincerely thanked the province for creating favorable conditions for the Group to invest in building projects in the Nghia Hung district and hoped in the coming time to continue to be interested provincial leaders to direct departments and branches, Local support for the project to be completed and put into operation as planned.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Gia Tuc warmly welcomed the leaders of Toray Group; Thank you for your interest in investing in Nam Dinh province. This is a meaningful activity on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. Comrade Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that Nam Dinh is currently taking advantage of resources to invest in renovating and upgrading technical infrastructure systems, especially strategic traffic systems such as the Dong Cao bridge; coastal overland routes; Haiphong - Thai Binh - Nam Dinh - Ninh Binh expressway ...; propose the Government to include in the planning the construction of a deep-water port in Nghia Hung district to shorten the time of transportation and trade of goods... Nam Dinh is drastically implementing the formulation and submission to the Prime Minister for approval of the Nam Dinh provincial planning for the period of 2021-2030 to open up development space and attract new investment for the province. In addition, the province also focuses on training high-quality human resources; pays attention to building a system of housing experts, workers, and other necessary conditions to meet the needs of enterprises investing in production and business development. The province is committed to maximum facilitation; drastically instructs departments, functional branches, and localities to focus on supporting and removing obstacles for investors, including Toray Group, to develop production and business in the province.
Toray Group's project in Aurora Textile Industrial Park is under construction in time for operation in 2023.
Through the meeting, Comrade Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that Toray Group's investment in a factory in Nghia Hung district not only contributes to affirming the strength of Nam Dinh's textile and garment industry but also deepens the friendship relationship between Vietnam and Japan in the future. The Provincial Party Secretary hoped that leaders of the Group and the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam would continue to support the province to promote, introduce and attract Japanese enterprises to Nam Dinh to survey, learn and invest in production and business development in the coming time./.
